A few weeks ago, I posted a thread about fake tan prior to my wedding. In the end, I ended not going for the fake tan as I was afraid something would go wrong and I would not have enough time to fix it. Rather than fake tan, I went with several posters suggestions to add a bit of colour to the face with bronzer and blusher.
I’ve never worn bronzer prior to that and didn’t think to ask the makeup artist who did my makeup and wasn’t paying too much attention to how she applied it, what shade she used or anything of that nature, so I have some questions:
What is it supposed to do? Is it supposed to make your entire face appear more tan or just add touches of colour to certain areas?
How many shades darker than your natural skin tone should bronzer be?
Where should it be applied and what type of brush would be ideal for this?

Make you look tanner and contour your face to make it appear more shapely. It can make your cheekbones pop and your nose appear smaller if you learn the technique.

Cheekbones, forehead, jawline, sides of the nose. I like the Nars Ita brush or even a angled brush. You'd want something smaller for your nose though.
^My MAC shade is NC15 (for Studio Fix Fluid). I've not tried contouring but I'm planning to give it a go. The picture you posted helps quite a bit!
Since you are NC15, you probably want the sun kissed look, correct? If that is the case, then you should use a bronzer not much darker than NC15 and apply it sparingly on your upper cheeks, nose and forehead. Basically, you would use a bronzer where you'd highlight.
