Who and what is Borat?
I’ve only seen silly pictures online so far and I know there’s a movie coming out soon. What is the background and is he supposed to be a fictional character?

Ever seen Ali G? Borat is another character he plays ... a journalist from Kazakhstan who basically takes the piss out of Americans. His character is meant to be really backward. I can't wait for the movie.
Sacha Baron Cohen is actually Jewish and British ... he's hilaaariousss!

Saw the movie yesterday, it was hilarious... pakistani larkis and aunties please dont watch it, theres alot of stuff that will make you puke, especially when Borat and his producer Azaamat are butt naked and wrestling! Nevertheless, the movie was funny as hell, beats clerks 2 as the funniest movie of 2006 IMO. Hats off to the 4th most famous man in all of Kazakhstan.

Bruno - the gay character? Yeah he was good - I only saw a couple of episodes in which he plays that.

Hes vile. The borat character is vile. You should have seen what he did on "Friday night with Jonathan Ross" Actually...you shouldnt have seen it. He is vile.
Watching Ali G was like walking through Slough. The only funny thing he did was try and sell Mohammed Al Fayed a British Passport.

There was a time when myself and Spock were the only North Americans on these forums who knew the character Borat. He is so mainstream now, it hurts me :( .

Ali G is pretty funny, and people talk about how Jewish people r so tolerant and understand despite Borat being so racist and anti-semitic to kinda point at and insult Muslims as a whole but the guy is Jewish, its similar of a Muslim putting on an act and saying all muslims are terrorists.
