salam.
I’m a little confused. in usa dressmakers require body measurements and will add few inches on either side of garment for comfort. In pakistan what measurements do tailors prefer body or khameez and in case of pants/trousers thigh measurements? all the GS designers on this forums please shed some light. I have ordered some clothes online and they are good except all the measurements are off. I have to get them altered which is a big pain and expensive here. I am afraid to order any more clothes until this matter is resolved. I especially like the tailoring from Lahore or Punjab side. Many of the tailors seem to do a good job.

thanks catwalk so much. I've really looking for the reply. If I use a length of 40 (standard or 39.5) for shalwar. what is best lenght for trouser/coulottes? I don't want to show any leg or ankle.
do you have to indicate for trousers what width you want for trouser/length?
Thanks.

Thanks Dear!
I've seen many women wearing various length of trouser with their high-heels.....It's best if the hemline of the trouser falls between the top of the heel and mid-heel (heel of the shoe, not heel of the foot), breaking at about back to mid-arch of your instep.
40" for shalwaar then trouser length:42"add 2inches!
