Didn’t care for Veer Zara much, but it did motivate me to muster up the courage to get my nose pierced …a few months after having watched the movie, lol.

Devdas…No. Just no. I never watched it more than once. And even the first time, I never watched it thoroughly. The only person I liked was Jackie Shroff and that too, was for his ability to speak in that distinct style that only he had.

Mr. And Mrs. Iyer…now that was a nice movie. Only watched it once, but it had substance. That unspoken tension between the two characters, I love subtle stuff like that…not the over-the-top Devdas variety.

My favorite: It’s usually not featured among the “top” romantic movies of Bollywood…but I love the movie, “Wake Up Sid” with Ranbir Kapoor and Konkona Sen. I love it because it’s simple and subtle. It’s not a passionate, heady, intense affair…the kind that in real life tends to end just as quickly as it begins. Rather it simmers. I like that it simmers and doesn’t boil until the very end when it’s needed the most…when the feelings come to the surface and have to be faced. I like the dynamics b/w the characters…their love is based on friendship and with time, a comfortable acceptance of each others’ differences …even the ones that can’t be controlled.

veer Zara songs all of them were awesome. Ditto Devdas. There was an older devdas movie diligently kumar that was boring.

Yes Mr and Mrs Iyer was fantastic. Wacthded it 19 Times.

i did watch wake up Sid but don’t remember anything abt the movie.

The song I liked best from VZ was Main Yahan Hoon and in the song there is this strand of instrumental music where there are no words at all and it’s very brief but it’s so pretty.

If you don’t remember anything about Wake Up Sid, then it didn’t make much of an impression upon you.

Yes, that song is very good. But I like all the songs. Will listen for that stand of instrumental music.

I do do remember I liked the wake up Sid movie. But I am drawing a blank. (Happens as one gets older!!)
