So how is the REAL chinese food prepared like fried rice and some other common dishes? Everyone is always talking about how so and so restaurant’s chinese isn’t ‘authentic’…so what is? What goes in the authentic fried rice/noodles/stirfries in China?

The only people who can do authentic Chinese. Desi restaurants just 'Pakistanify' Chinese food.
I have a Chinese friend who became Muslim - the food I eat in his house is a million miles from any 'halal' Chinese restaurant Ive eaten at.
Just like Goray cant make curries - whatever authentic ingredients they use
When we make Chinese at home, we use '5 Spice', Oyster sauce, dark/light Soy sauce, white/rice vinegar etc

I have read that Chinese people use peanut or sesame oil in most dishes and the rice used are Jasmine....bean sprouts are also used in a lot of dishes including fried rice.
What about the Hot sauce served in restaurants, does it exist in authentic Chinese cuisine or is it just a creation of restaurants? the one I'm talking about has crushed peppers and peanut oil in it...

This reminds me. My husband said that we should make friends with Chinese people..so we can eat Authentic chinese. I know what he meant but i laughed so hard at it.
Er anyways. i've heard authentic chinese isn't that great, at least its not what us desis/americans are used to.
I saw some packets of masalas specifically for chienese food and when I cooked it..it really did smell like desi chinese. So...maybe u might wanna try thos?

I've heard that the food in China does not have the sweet and sour taste that we often find in Chinese restaurants. It's more salty, I've heard. And I think if you google some of the dishes that are listed on a menu........you might find that a few of them don't have origins in China.
