Now this term is everywhere. What is this? And what Americans/indians want to achieve by taking it to our breakfast tables and late night tv shows?
As much we know there is not a single word americans propogate without a very carefully laid plan. So could someone perhaps give us more insight ?

Af-Pak stands for Afghanistan-Pakistan. The two have been combined primarily because America has a common strategy for that region and the same envoy handling it (Holbrooke).
Indians are in no way connected with this term

It means that we are lagging so far behind India in the political economic race that now we are struggling to pull apart from Afghanistan.
