aur 114 soorateN haiN :) jin men se ek soora "sura e tauba" bismillah se nahiiN shuru hoti aur sirf ek soora hai jis meN bismillahir rahmaanir raheem shuru ke bajaaye beech soora meN aayaa hai...that makes 114 bismillahs as the number of sooras in the Qur'aan :)**

Most people consider it as a chapter (amongst subcontinent) but it's not really a "chapter".. it's a part rather. The Quran is split up into 30 parts = suparas also known as JUZ.. (ex: juz amma)
A "CHAPTER" in the quran is a Surah, there are 114 surahs or 114 CHAPTERS in the quran. This is true because whenever you listen to a lecturer or scholar they will refer to the surahs as chapters. Never referring to the suparas because then that would be too general.
