@Femme_Fatale

A eunuch.
I doubt they come to weddings to ruin things. they seem like harmless people who have been reduced to dancing and singing for others at joyous occasion to earn their livelihood. They are pretty much non-entities in Pakistan. Their families disown them due to their gender issues so they live with other eunuchs in groups. There was a play on tv the other day where one of them wants to leave the singing and dancing and earn through respectable means. He goes everywhere looking for work but is turned away from every door and everyone tells him to do what he is meant to do, dance. Then he goes to this workshop and is at the verge of passing out cos he hasn’t eaten but the men there tell him to perform a quick dance so they can pay him for it, he passes out while dancing and they throw him out on the streets. That pretty much portrays the significance of these eunuchs in Pakistan.

one got elected to Madhya Pradesh State Assembly in India, there was a movie on her/him played by ashutosh rana Shabnam_Mausi

Shabnam Mausi

Traditional belief holds that their presence protects against evil.

There are no official estimates of India’s eunuch population, but they are said to number nearly 500,000.
