I´d rather live in a country, investing in me as a person through my edu. Im not a socialist, but US will never be a heaven to me.
sure it will not be for you just like scandinavian countries for me would always be a good place to visit but not to live because they are middling also rans who rarely are the leaders in any breakthrough.
At end of my edu. the goverment has invested over 5 millions in me without having forced ANY sort of condition upon me. Think about it. I dont even have a single dime in debt, when through with education. So its a win win situation all the way.
is it win win? its a substandard education, clearly proven by the global rankings. I would rather pay for state of the art rather then get something avg or below avg for free. It is good for avg joes but achievers would want to getthe best, and scandinavian countries are ill equipped to provide that.
I dont find a country stable that can not even provide health care for its own population. Its a breed of the mentality:"Survival of the fittest."
we are going on tangents now, but in that case I can state that the racist immigration policies of scandinavian countries has protected them so far but as the population growth rates decrease and they need workers, they will go teh same route as Paris ghettos because they are defintely not as welcoming to immigrants, and the immigration numbers would prove that.

sure, I am critical of it, but its not meaningless. You cant say that NED is as good as MIT...so yeah a some uni ranked #1 may be in actuality #6, but not #212. The fact that we saw how scandinavian unis stacked up speaks volumes. the argument was how good they are, I showed you expert proof that says they are not.
Bill gates never complited his edu. Most entrepeneurs are self made people with a disciplin to die for. Financial wisdom or making it big is done without havard or oxford..... We also need a change of view on regarding edu=money=wisdom=stability. Most people earning high saleries are caught in the their own web of expending upon things.....they really dont need. As their SUV.s 100 K mansion etc. The day you take their job away from them, then you get to know how FINANCIALLY SMART they have been, or not. The name of the game is, how will you make it, IF things goes against you or your investment drops dead on u......? Thats my way of looking at things.
Lets not look at exceptions like Gates or Dell. Fact of the matter is that the vast majority of people do well if they go to college versus if they did not go to college, further more, the better teh college, the better the starting salary and better the career trajectory. Look up top leadership of fortune 500 and see. forget that look at top leadership of scandinavian companies and see how many are grads of top US, UK or French business schools.
so yeah the point of (edu=money=wisdom=stability) may not be 100% right, but the polar opposite of that is even less correct.
