you mean this chat section and the actual audio video chat??

well i think the main difference is that in chat u can interact with people on one to one basis or in groups....u can do your private chatting which u cant do in chat forum...

also in chat u get a response there and then....in chat forums u dont know if the other person is still there or not.

Well we can do private chatting in chat forum too and if we don't get response at the same time, we do knw that whenever the another person gonna read our comments, surely that person will gonna reply. :)

on ur right hand click on member's name whom u wanna do private chat and select invites to private chat :)

chat is different i would say, place to get away from threads

another difference is you cannot save your conversation in audio/video chat (as far as i know).....forums will have it for ages.
