well i am not trying to sound racist here but as i have noticed - i see a lot of indians who are rich (somewhat) and not that decent try to show their financial status by wearing heavy gold even on daily basis while this ones getting married.
plus she is the daughter of some underworld don i guess dawood ibrahim hence she has to show all the gold her father gave her for her wedding and people say that all this gold cost her quiet a few crores - excluding the cheapness it has to it.
