there's no afterlife ?
or the much awaited paradise?
just think about it. paradise. hell. do the concepts even seem remotely possible?
what if this is it. and once you say goodbye to a person....you'll never be meeting them in some other world in some other form.
Dunno about impossible things like existence of paradise, heaven or hell but I do know reincarnation exists. There is more proof for reincarnation than the existence of heaven or hell :D
I think its what you choose to believe.
It has more to do with ur conviction , rather than facts and figures that leads to faith and acknowledging afterlife.
Certainly, in the creation of the skies
and the earth and the alternation of
the night and the day, there
certainly are signs for people of
understanding.
Those who remember Allah standing,
sitting, and on their sides and give
thought to the creation of the skies
and the earth, [saying], "Our Master,
You did not create this without
purpose; You are free from any
shortcomings; So, protect us from the
punishment of the Fire.

ﺍﻟَّﺬِﻳﻦَ ﻳَﺬْﻛُﺮُﻭﻥَ ﺍﻟﻠَّﻪَ ﻗِﻴَﺎﻣًﺎ ﻭَﻗُﻌُﻮﺩًﺍ ﻭَﻋَﻠَﻰٰ
ﺟُﻨُﻮﺑِﻬِﻢْ ﻭَﻳَﺘَﻔَﻜَّﺮُﻭﻥَ ﻓِﻲ ﺧَﻠْﻖِ ﺍﻟﺴَّﻤَﺎﻭَﺍﺕِ
ﻭَﺍﻟْﺄَﺭْﺽِ ﺭَﺑَّﻨَﺎ ﻣَﺎ ﺧَﻠَﻘْﺖَ ﻫَٰﺬَﺍ ﺑَﺎﻃِﻠًﺎ ﺳُﺒْﺤَﺎﻧَﻚَ
ﻓَﻘِﻨَﺎ ﻋَﺬَﺍﺏَ ﺍﻟﻨَّﺎﺭِ

Yes, b/c as an insecure human being I cannot explain my own existence (or purpose of my existence) so I have to hold on to something. That does not mean I take everything at face value. Religious beliefs are not based on logic...I mean look at this way... if you did know basic of science would you believe that we are sitting on a giant ball flying through space? Probably not. There are things that are beyond our understanding.
