What if one of your parents tells you that he/she doesn’t believe in God anymore?
How are you going to you react?
Re: What if?
I would say "You, sir/madam are going straight to hells.". :D

*Islam does not teach to disrespect them even if they are non Muslim. *
Re: What if?
I was wondering the same.
Most likely for me, because I am beautiful and she hates me. ![]()

Non-Muslim aur non-believer main farq nahi ?
Re: What if?
Seriously, you can't really do anything about it.
They know everything that you know and have been adults longer than you.
They are going to their graves and you to yours.
I guess you just feel sorry and go on about your life.
It shouldn't really have too much impact on your relationship with them.
Re: What if?
I think it would be trickier if your spouse tells you that they don't believe in God anymore.
Re: What if?
One of my mum's brothers is an atheist.. He has two kids.. It's not really discussed tho..

That'd be a mess. Because it'd nullify your Nikah. On one hand you have the love of your life on the other there's God's wrath.
With parents, the relationship isn't going anywhere, but with a spouse there's a lot to lose.

.
Re: What if?
The tricky thing is that there is no official conversion to becoming one so it's sort of hidden.
