What if..

You were home sick for a few days and someone needed to cover your projects at work. When you returned, the person just continued to do your work, take on your projects, etc as if you weren’t there.

How would you react?

Re: What if..

you can tell him/her that "it was so nice of you to take care of the work while I was gone and I really appreciate but now I would not like to burden you anymore with the work so I am going to start working again on those projects"

Honestly Sahar I have been there when I was away from my work on 2 different occasions but when you are on the right path Allah will find a solution for you and both the times I got my work back alhamdolillah.

Re: What if..

As diamond said, you should politely tell them that Thank You, but I can handle it now. If you still have problems, you should talk with your superior.

Also, the person may just be trying to help. He/She may think that you need a little extra help in the days immediately after your illness.

Re: What if..

If they have contributed a lot to the project then its only fair they get half the credit.

Re: What if..

Look for another bigger , better project , assignment. There is no dearth of projects and assignment at any place.

Re: What if..

^You can find bigger and better projects as Mirch has suggested. Just be careful that your superiors don't get the wrong idea that you're not interested/couldn't handled/or completely ignored the previous assignments that you had. Maybe clarify things before moving on to something new.

Or thank the person for their help and tell them that you'll resume handling the projects in their entirety and that you don't want to keep them from THEIR OWN assigned tasks (hint hint). I am confused as to how exactly the person would continue to work on your projects when you've returned are physically there at work....unless you're giving them directions on the project or delegating. If he/she persists, then tell your boss that you'd like some confirmation/clarification as to who is doing the project.

If the person has made changes to your project that you don't agree with, then do the project your own way...so that they can't claim credit for it later on.
