Yes. I will retain that free will and do my best to distance my self from the risk of going to hell. And thats what all muslims are doing and are busy at . Thay use their free will and choose the right path so as not to go to hell.
There remains no difference between you and the animals when you give up freewill. Allah is not going to punish the animals for they can't choose right from wrong. And when you don't have freewill He will do the same with you.
