U make masoor ki daal (patli waali) with too much salt in and hate throwing away food? :o
You let it cool down, add sookha aaTa to it and knead it into dough.
Then you make roti’s with it like you normally would.
Only very smart ppl could come up with that
You mean the red daal? btw I love daal waalay parathay.

Yeah Saadia, I think it's the red one. The one that's really watery, like soup.
shinoo ive committed that blunder a few times ie adding too much salt to daal
i add water to it n let it sit for a coupla mints
the daal settles down and watery liquid remains above. a lot of salt dissolves in that.
then carefully spill out the luquid.
and the remaining daal is less salty.
irem, you've noticed .. thanks jee :-)
Saadia baji ofcourse ive noticed after all JOO r one of my favorit guppies
most welcome jee

Shinz, you are brilliant :queen:
I’ve also heard that if you add too much salt to something, you can add sugar to even it out. But that sounds too easy to me. Don’t know if it actually works.

Yeah irem that’s a good idea aswell :k:
Guys I have another one for when u accidently put too much salt on ur fried egg. Get a tiny lump of goonda hua aaTa and touch the surface of the egg with it. ‘All’ the salt sticks to the aaTa.
I should write a book with all my brilliant idea’s :queen:
Shinoo you are brilliant :)

What about when you add salt to milk instead of sugar? I do that a lot.
^ you feed it to your favourite grandson.
Shinz, you’re a genius!
I heard putting in a boiled potatoe soaks the excess salt. Dunno if it works.

Can I have some more "Shinzy ur brilliant" please? :o
Good for my ego
Shinzy you're brilliant, what a great idea.
Reminds me of that Jamie Oliver recipe where he mixes a tin of baked beans in with bread dough before baking it.
