Make sure to research the place thoroughly before you get it done from them. It takes a long time to heal fully (6-8 months) during which you are required to clean it every day, making sure you dont wear tight clothes. Also, I think you will be limited to the barbell until it heals fully, after which you can try on other jewellery.

I dont think its a big deal, its a piercing not a tattoo. All you have to do is take it out, qissa khatam.
