Someone died today, suddenly. It made me think. Death can catch up with anyone at any time. I’ve heard from someone, the angel of Death passes us by 7 times each day…

I too am afraid my record of deeds is not in order. My only fear of death is what comes after it because my merit sucks beyond belief.
Physically i'm ready, mentally i can make myself, but deed-wise and work i have done is not even enough to give me strength to hold my own book of deed when it is handed to me. What a pityful moment that will be for some of us...

First of all this Life, spirit or whatever you call it, is not given to me because of my some specialty or praying. So when he wants it, he can take it back, might be even while writing this post.

When it comes to mulki and khnadani siasat 24 ghanty tasbeeh ghumana faida mand nahi hu sakta. Ju ghumaty hain ham unhin mana nahi kerty. Magar qiamat ky din trazo rakha jaay ga jis ky ju amal hon gy dykh lai ga.

Am I ready? Do I have a choice about the matter? I don't have a say in when I check out from this world. Being ready or not will make no difference in that regard. Although I highly doubt that I'm the worst person in this world, I feel that I can improve myself and concentrate on doing more good. So, I'm not ready in that regard.

Thanks, yes you are right. hope is always there, if we will seek His forgivness for our sins by true heart, no matter that Allah shows us His mercy. Inshallah He will forgive us, but we should alwys pray to Him that rest of life he shows us the right path. Ameen

Wouldn’t know about no will or bill or some such stuff but I just realized that I don’t have time to die. There are too many things I need to do. So many unfinished tasks to accomplish. There is that web on one of the rooms ceiling, just a tad bit too high and the spider is still residing. I have been meaning to get to it, do I relocate the critter or just squish it under the foot. The web seem to have some murdered bodies in the nocks and crannies too. Then there is that fishy smell coming from the bathroom. I know I unclogged the toilet last time mr. weasel mis-used it but the darn smell hasn’t departed. Maybe I need to cut down on the spices I use in cooking. That decapitated head of a rodent that the cats have been playing football with has seen better days. I need to go find a better rat for next time. Then the cars wheels need to be washed to clear the evidence of the road kill that I committed the other day. I’ll deny it flat out if the cops ask. the video of my bank branch needs to be jacked. It might or might not have evidence of the botched robbery that might or might not have happened last week. Then there is that plan to kidnap the neighbors dog who uses my yard for his business. That mutt is going down I tell you. And who can forget the loads of laundry and dishes and the usual stuff. I don’t have time to die, I have better things to do.

I am ready for it but at the same time i am not ready for it - I don't mind dieing whenever but i don't want to die because i want to pray and get loads of sins off my shoulder, i want to come to a position to be able to give zakat and help people before i die..i want to get married and have babies before i die...i want to give back some of what my parents have given me (alhamdulillah)...until then i don't want to see death because i know the people around me aren't ready yet.

Ready or not we have to go....I think the best way to prepare yourself is to seek forgiveness after each prayer and have love/faith in Allah. We are not angels and we all depend on Allah (SWT) mercy.
