There is too much in this paragraph for me to comment on in one go ...

You are saying that without death, gold becomes meaningless because it would no longer be necessary for our existence?

But at the same time you are saying life becomes meaningless because those things that are scarce and what we lust over will not be lusted over because we will not die?

So gold becomes meaningless because our lives would not depend on it or would our lives become meaningless because we would no longer depend on gold?

Does life currently depend on gold or does the value of gold have it's value because life currently depends on it? Or neither? Does life depend on gold?

How does life become meaningless without "need" ? .... Allah is The Everliving ... And has no need ... We don't just live Shamraz Khan ... We are being Sustained ... We have a NEED to be sustained, we can worship our Creator whether we are alive temporarily or forever ... That is enough meaning for us isn't it?

^^^ No, I'm saying if there is no death our worldly possessions & our dependence on sustenance for survival would no longer be necessary for our existence. Thus, making our existence meaningless.

First of all death is not the end of existence ... and "not to live" is not the same as "death"

Our existence does not take its meaning from what we do to survive - because a young baby who knows no better - does not know how to survive, but to the parent's of the baby it has meaning. Likewise, we have meaning for existence above and beyond our need to survive.

(I don't believe either that our need to survive gives our life any real purpose anyway.)

We don't keep ourselves alive - God does ... If we don't die ... we still need to exist - If God does not Create and Destroy each infinitesimal moment we would not exist ... and to not exist no longer is us ... the only thing that becomes meaningless is this discussion.

I need to understand why you think "our limitations to survive and lust over worldly matters gives our life meaning" ... Angels don't lust nor do they eat to survive - are angels therefore meaningless?

But they will die ... so I can't even see how death is related to the traits of hunger and the desire of worldly things ...

It wouldnt make sense if there was no death. The world would be overpopulated and many other problems would arise like an increased demand for food and water and such..so it's like a cycle, people die everyday and then a new life is born.

Let me put it this way, Mankind has experienced that situation already it is not a new concept Baba Adam and Amma Hawa lived that while in heaven.

However most responces in this thread have only looked at the negative aspects of this paradigm.

THE #1 benefit:

Almost all Prophets would be alive and amoung us!

Just imagine Adam Eliahi Salaam and Amma Hawa both sitting in their Grand Palace built by all their loving generations who would gather around and listen to what it was like to live in Jannah! Subhaan Allah!

Moosa ES would tell you his experience on Koh Toor!

and best of all Rasul Allah Peace be upon him would narrate the Holy Quran!

and the very best part of this scenerio would be that

Rasul Allah PBUH would still be the Ruler of Arabia, and t
here would be NO sects in Islam..........period!

And Just imagine the Hajj...........Vow!

you think 3 million gathering is big!

they would catogarize by age ........all those born before Ibrahim ES over there....

All those born after Moosa ES over there........

So let us atleast imagine what it would be like if there was No Death!
