Here is my two cents on next Pakistani election (in poetry), and that is true for any future election as long as people’s thought would stay as it is today.

Pakistani election and results:

Yea tou sadgee hay hamari yea bud-zaat-gee
Chuntay bhie hain ha’kim tou Khabees yea Razeel

Aziz hamay tasub, subayet, yea wada-o-waeed
Qeemat hamaray vote kee hay yehi char cheese

Aa jaye agar PPP tou koyie baat nahie hay
Her dusrie party bhie hay unhee kee tasweer

Jab quam hee hay ijtamayie sonch say a’ree
Phir Nawaz aur Zardari hee banay gay Nabeel

Yea bad-naseebi hay yea hay azaab-e-illahi

I feel that many may find difficulty in understanding urdu words, so for their ease I am putting down meanings of words I used. I hope what I believe is meaning of words are right. If I am wrong, please correct me and forgive me.:)

Bud-zaat-gee = bad gene ... or genetically bad
Khabees = lazy, spoiler, devil
Razeel = Rascal, Mean, Wicked, Filthy, etc
Aziz = Value in heart
Tasub = prejudice, bias towards people one is associated with
Subayet = prejudice towards people of own provicne
Qeemat = price
Wada = promises
Waeed = threat
Wada-o-Waeed = Promises and threats
Tasweer = picture
Quam = Nation
Her dusrie = Every other
Sonch = thoughts
A’ree = devoid
Nabeel = Nobel (or Nobility)
Tasweer = picture
Ijtamayie = as a whole
Bad-naseebi = bad fate
Azab-e-Ilahi = punishment of Allah
Nakeel = rope around neck or rope holding

Under the prevailing circumstances in Pakistan, one thinks that we have perhaps hit rock bottom. However, it occurred to me that there is one possible outcome in the future that could make the current situation in Pakistan look like a bed of roses. That unfortunate outcome will be if Zardari and PPP get elected to enslave us for five more years in the coming elections. I think nothing could be more depressing than the prospect of getting tortured for 5 more years.

I was just wondering, what would you guys do if this horrible, horrible nightmare becomes a reality? As for me, honestly speaking, I will try my best to leave Pakistan if such a scenario unfolds........yes I know its cowardly, and yes, I know that not everyone is as privileged, but the mere thought of bearing this bloodshed, and witnessing the misery that these guys cause in the lives of Pakistanis (and the misery that pakistanis cause in each other's lives) gives me shudders !!

I guess Imran Khan did have a point that if rigging is done in elections then there will be bloodshed.

Agreed as much as we all (most of us anyway) want Imran to succeed, there is a real possibility that PPP or PML-N will be re-elected in the next election, a curse of the sick baradari mentality of Pakistanis.

However I consider PML-N to be the lesser of the two evils as they are less corrupt than PPP (just my personal opinion)

Even PTI wins few seats, it can never form the government, nor it will be a real opposition party in the assemblies. PTI has to collaborate with either PPP or PML(N) to become part of the government or opposition. PML(N) perhaps is more likely to form the next government rather than PPP. Who so ever forms the government, it will again be coalition government with same faces, whether you like it or not. After saying this PPP has not done a bad job keeping in view the internal and external environment inherited from previous government.

You PTI promoters have to come out from your false dreamland and face the realities and understand the dynamics of people of Pakistan and their political awareness.

Imran Khan has to recognize above reality otherwise he will be next Nawabzada Nasrullah Khan**.**

Uncle kia main nay kabhi kaha kaha PTI clean sweep karay gi ? If PML (N) form their Government then I’m sure they ll be far better then this corrupt and pathetic government.

Well I never said that one should vote for PPP, I only stressed upon the importance of using your votes smartly. Is it safe to vote someone just cuz he is a new face? What if PTI is worse than all other parties? Do you think Pakistan can afford to bear one more dhecka? I know we dont have a choice ! But that doesnt mean k aandhe kuwaein mein chelaag lega do or dekho kia hota hai!
One should think beyond this for the sake of Pakistan!!!
