What if Christians are RIGHT...

…Once here in USA, a student-fellow of mine asked me this question…
…Yaar, what if Christians are on right path and we’re not…
…My answer to him was, " If you would study your own religion more than what you see about christianity, you would not be asking me this question…
…I have noticed that most of us that concider themselves, modern, cool etc; Don’t have enough knowledge about Islam, but will argue using their personal opinions…
…Why we study computers etc, but not our religion…

maybe some of us have been doing both all along.

I think this question will pass any person's mind who puts logic above what his parents tell. I am sure evry atheist has a passing thought that god might just be there and every theist perhaps has thought some time that god just might not be there.
I think ur friend has inquiring, open, logical mind. You should learn from him.

As-salaamu 'Alaikum ya Muslimeen,

Alhamdulillah,

This question is from those who lack in faith and imaan.

In Al-Qur'an Allah SWT says:
“O you who
believe! Fear Allah as He should be feared, and die not except in a state of Islam (as Muslims), with
complete submission to Allah." (Sura 3:102)

Those lack in faith that fall in sin. They do some sin, and keep repeating until to them that sin that they do means nothing and they even do it openly.

O you who believe! Keep your duty to Allah and fear Him, and speak (always) the truth. He will
direct you to do righteous good deeds and will forgive you your sins. And whosoever obeys Allah and
His Messenger, he has indeed achieved a great achievement (he will be saved from the Hell-fire
and made to enter Paradise).” [33:70-71 interprtation of the meaning].

Those that lack in faith should repent to Allah. They should read the Qur'an and understand what it says. Listen to beautiful qaseedahs. They should stop what they are sinning. Insha'Allah May Allah SWT guide us all and save us from the Dajjal. Ameen.

Zakariyyah,

Your quote:
"They should read the Qur'an and understand what it says"

Are you capable of understanding what the Quran speaketh?

or,

Do you look to the sunnah of the prophet(s) for its meaning and understanding?

or,

Do you look to the sunnah of Mr. Rashad Khalifa for its meaning and understanding?

Kohal, I liked your comment...maybe some people ARE doing just that...which is GREAT...
Ullu, despite your weird name, you do have a three-dimensional point...we can learn from anyone, even fools...
Face up, don't start that again...we've had two LONG threads on that point, let's talk about the subject at hand...Christians are spending alot of money on their preaching, and we're spending all our energies, arguing, insulting, and putting eachother down...
Salafi, nice tracking...

BlaDa la-dee-da,

So you think christians are spending money on preaching and we-musliims are not! Really?

How much does Saudia spend spreading wahabism by doling out petro dollars to those who accept the wahabiya ways.

How much of the zaka'at monies goes towards so-called dawa'ah? To preach a form of Islam that is not only out-of-place but xenophobic as well.

How many millions did Ghadaffi pay to the Nations of Islam minister Farakhan?

...Farrahkhan is a great person...he stands up for Islam, infront of west...
Yes we spend monies...but not through media, where our audiance is more than other type of muslims...

Zakariyah,

I hope you're still with us. The remarks I made was not made to discourage you in any ways rather a continuity of discussion we were having that the followers of Sunnah have made the 7th century sunnah (prophet's acts & sayings)into the interpretations of Quran or they seek guidance to 21st century issues from the 7th century sunnah.

Maybe, you could review the thread:THE STATUS OF THE SUNNAH... to understand where I am coming from.

Without "Religious Authority" - Islam is a headless corpse and Quran a book of parables unintelligible to most.

Face up, you have come along way...your comments in the previous to this post, are bearable...we can keep our cool, and discuss all the issues in a professional manner...I believe in discussions and constant learning, rather than sweaping the matters under the carpet...encouraging approach to Zakarriah's participation...
