Canon EF 28-300mm f/3.5-5.6L IS USM.
but its not available anywhere in the US .. Can any one of you living in other countries find it locally?
My 10D is kinda yateem without this lens ..
superb lense, the only bad thing is that it can't be used with my camera, but I don't think its available in Uk yet, Ef 28-200 is available though, but obv no match with 300.

what you were expecting for such beauty!!! go for EF 28-200, its a bit cheal, might get it in about £900 or in about £300 on ebay.

the EF 28-200 am talking about is USM, and guess what I found one cheap on ebay, its about £274.Here

Its readily available on Ebay. I needed to buy a flash which was on backorder on sony.com and it cost $200, I actually got a brand new one from ebay from retailer for $150, so ebay rocks

you do realize this will be a 45-480mm Field of view on your 10D.. you're missing the wide angle for groups, scenics etc.. unles u already have that or aren't interested. Plus my guess is that it'll be f/5.6 starting around 135mm .. and to get the best out of it u'd have to stop down another f-stop to f/8 which leads to difficulties in getting good OOF backgrounds.
Compared to that the 70-200 2.8L IS is known to be sharp wide open and stopped down at f/4 even corner sharpness improves.. with the IS to boot you could literally forget ever carrying a tripod.
anyway for something this expensive i'd rather wait till it becomes available in the USA.. B&H photovideo has it as CALL in their print advertisements, though it's absent from their site.. so i think they may be taking pre-orders..
found out that Amazon is taking orders.
Shipping is expected to begin May 13th.. (pushed back from May 1st). I guess others would be taking pre-orders too for the same date..
and what I got was … not a lens right now … but a camcorder .. had to spend the money na .. warna begum paisay wapis lay lete … just like they do in our corp env .. if u dont spend it .. they will take it back 
me off to beg for some mo money … still gota get that lens .. i am mad about it .. gota have it … to comlete my toy room na ..
