I learned early on..never send my hubby to the grocery store. If I want the job done right, i'll do it myself.

My dad actually does the best grocery! Whenever I go back home, he is the one takes me out to the grocery store and actually teach me how to shop for fruits/veggies n stuff… darn it but still this time i bought bananas that were not ripe and too lamba

Thank you for understanding Saima! I try my best to do a rubbish job of grocery shopping so that my wife gets the hint and does it herself. Lekin who bhi Dheet hai, she KNOWS i’m doing it on purpose. Let’s see how long this cat and mouse game lasts, going on for 7 years now.

im a female & I can't stand it when women whine like that. If a lady is home ALL day long, why can't she go out and run some errands herself. And please do not tell me how difficult it is to be a housewife...because I know enough housewives who don't do much all day long but complain how tired they are. Khair that's just my opinion.

For 7 years! She's tough and stubborn. Well as long as she doesn't send you for female hygeine products you're ok. My hubby doesn't mind picking up milk or bread. But I'd never hand him a whole list of items. It would be way too overwhelming choosing between 'soft tofu or firm tofu.'

My husband does that. I finally caved when he brought me parchment paper in place of the puff pastry I asked for 10 minutes before guests arrived for iftaar.
I don't think he's been back to the grocery since.
My FIL loves to go grocery shopping. He brings a lot of stuff and then tells me what to cook - no list necessary! :)

Totally agree, worked well in my case. but for monthly groceries I still have to go with her due the weight and all.

Afro going for groceries with kids is not a piece of cake. If she has no babies then i can understand but a housewife with kids doesn;t have it as easy.
Still it would be better if the lady can just do it herself and send the husband out for no-brainer sort of shopping like milk, bread, aata and do the decision-making sorts grocery shopping herself. I would much rather get the husband to put away the grocery then buy it

Don’t get me started!!!
The worse of the kind is when you are loading groceries in the car and you figure out there are 6 missed calls and 2 different messages. One adding stuff onto the list and the other scratching something else off cos she changed her mind 
And housewives are not the only ones going to grocery with kids.

lol grocery shopping with kids has to be hard, esp if ure trying to feed them healthy good food and allthey want is the junk :(

and really, I have had no problems grocery shopping, we both now what each other like and we both know what we both like. we usually have a grocery list whether going individually or together.
yeah she would buy some stuff that she wants that was not on the list, or I would see something that was not on the list but I decide to get it anyways.
I dunno, we just dont have this type of chikh chikh..we save or chikh chikh for other stuff

iconoclast, although if this is whatu hate about married life, u are doign well..most ppl hate a lot of other stuff, spouses habits, personalities, inlaws, responsbility etc etc.
so u are doing very good.
