..in your handbag? And how often do you clean it out? And how do you control the number of things you keep in it?
The only useful thing in my handbag is probably my wallet and mayyybe a couple of lipsticks/lipshines that I actually use. Besides that a small sized shine serum for the hair (which I really don’t need to carry with me) and a couple of pens.
Besides these few things everything in my handbag is either stuff that needs to be thrown away or stuff that i put in and forgot about and have been too lazy to dig it out. I have a foot balm in there, like i’m going to massage my feet at work! Tons of receipts…I have probably even discarded some of the stuff that these receipts are for.
I have a letter from a friend that I recieved around atleast 10 months ago which I put in my bag so I could reply to it at work in my free time. Thats all worn out now and rubbed off, even torn. INot that I haven’t cleaned out my bag since 10 months…I did clean it out and I put the letter back in so I might reply to it. I have over a dozen lipsticks which I should probably throw out cos I don’t even like them. My perfume, ok thats one of the useful things so I won’t count it against myself. What else…I have enough pens to put up a little stall and sell them at some fair. Lots of bobby pins. I found my favourite earings in one of the pockets which I had been looking for since I moved to the new house.
I have a habit of putting everything away in my handbag. Its so overweight. Maybe that is why my right shoulder hurts a bit!
Enviable LK. I have stopped buying new bags cos it's too tough a job for me to change bags and they wind up just hanging in my closet. I am thinking of buying those wallet things with a keychain hanging from it so I can limit myself. I also need to buy really small bags so I can't throw in any junk. Just a perfume and the wallet and a lipstick. Finito.
My makeup pouch got so big I have to leave it at home with most of the useless stuff in it.
One thing i always keep is a swiss army knife(no kidding), IF I am carrying my bag; yes it has proven to be beneficial in countless ways on numerous occasions.
I had to go to the US consulate for some business, and all the bells and whistles went off, while going through the metal detectors. So, I looked at the guard with a big grin, and told him, "you know it was un-intentional", and he agreed, and i went on with my appointment. Although, I hate carrying laptop around..
I've got a normal sized pouch..has many pockets..the hairbrush, lipstick, compact and a small deo, moturiser, nail file and spare jewellery incase i find myself in a hurry and out the door without any...all this goes in it...money/cards in wallet...
I was wondering the same thing myself, the only time I ever do tiny handbags is in the evening and even then the other half has to carry half my stuff in his pockets.
