What has changed in last 10 years

Hi All,

I am a new member here and this is the first time I am going to post anything in this forum.

I am settled in UK now since last 10 years and coming to visit my parents next month. I was wondering what has changed in Pakistan. I know state of politics etc but not much about culture and values… I visit Pak every 2 years but normally don’t get much chance to visit many places.

I lived in Lahore while studying (UET) and working (PEL) before coming to UK, used to love night life, eating out and concerts etc. My plan is to stay in Lahore for a week to enjoy night life again, one of my British born cousin will be with me too who has high expectations and wants to enjoy his time in lahore— but I am kind of worried that now I don’t know many people in Lahore…

One of my university friend from Lahore says everything has changed now- young generation is more bold and vocal, night life is more about sheesha, partying and girlfriend/boyfriend culture…

Your feedback would be much appreciated

Thanks

welcome, if it’s ten years then you will be shocked to see new lahore, everything has so much changed, inflation just kissed the sky too

hasn’t changed that much, sheesha clubs were raid many a times resulting in sealed/banned places… but dhoondne per to kehte hein KHUDA bhi mil jata hai… khair at some extent we leaned away from humanity…

whatever, you will be so happy to see new lahore, many new/exciting places are waiting for you…Come and Enjoy!!!

Re: What has changed in last 10 years

I can’t say anything about Lhr because I’m not from there, but I think Pakistan as a whole is quite changed in last 10 years.

Re: What has changed in last 10 years

Thanks Hakuna & khan, checked travel section not much there. Sheesha cafes raided? Why is that?

As I lived there I know what places to go to eat but again we want good company and new friends. Have a laugh and enjoy our stay.

Where does the upper class hangout? My cousin wants to meet youngsters of his age (he’s 24) and I dont have flipping clue about this lol

Re: What has changed in last 10 years

Re: What has changed in last 10 years

I avoided the word ‘burger’, cuz I thought it was a negative term.
