I want to ask you all a question - what has Benazir ever done for Pakistan? During her tenure what good did she bring and what did she fail to do of course. I would love to hear opinions and more importantly facts from you all - you are a diverse bunch of people and definitely more learned than me in politics of Pakistan. What has she done for her own area?
It would be nice to make a list of good things she accomplished - I would like to avoid the corruption issues too as we all know about them.
Probably Operation Cleanup Karachi (1992) is the only thing that I can think of, but then that created so many human rights abuse issues that it becomes hardly an achievement.
well she had her share of work in the motorway too but was started by ns.
In her short sightedness, She wanted to revert the Motorway down to four Lanes instead of the Six Lane Hi way it was designed. even though the bridges were already made six lanes when She got into power.................was going to save the country some Money......:)

and i think that govt ended up paying more....
not sure though. i guess it was due to the change in the contract. She initially cancelled it or so.
Musharraf, despite all his faults, has done great things for Pakistan
The Free Media, high economic growth rate, foreign investment, peace talks with India, taking on extremism, mega projects, etc.
Even though I totally disagreed with him in taking on the media and jailing opposition but still I can totally understand how having a free media that our journalist would abuse that power
what were her policies on education, health, transportation, infrastructure, social progression, human rights, nation building......surely she must have some credit to her name......surely she must have done things for sindh.....or even her home town.....
