By Allah?..any thoughts?
Re: What happens in our lives is already decided for us
from a not so religious point of view, the future is unknown and plural. you get to make conscious willful choices on several things in life, you don’t get to choose a much larger number of factors. for many of us cushioned from the larger vagaries of the universe by the relatively cushy societies we live in, we make our own fates to a large extent.
Re: What happens in our lives is already decided for us
I’ve had a couple near death experiences with drivers that weren’t looking or ones that just did the most insane things which in normal circumstances would have caused a huge accident. I was in the strangest way able to stop myself from getting into any accidents. I’m usually not alert every second when i’m driving but I took certain steps before the near accidents that prevented me from getting into these accidents. I went into the fast lane a few seconds before this pickup truck went completely horizontal on the highway and covered the slow, middle and most of the fast lanes and I missed hitting him by what seemed like an inch. I never drive on the fast lane. middle lane all the way. Which made me feel like it was not my time to die…
whatever previous bad experiences I had caused me to make decisions in my life that I would’ve completely never taken but because of how life was before the choices I made afterwards were ones that I myself would’ve never taken before those bad experiences.
i feel like Allah brings people into my life that I would never have even spoken to if I think of the college me or a couple years ago. I used to think like that too that we make our own destiny but too many things have happened that make me feel like there is a higher power at work.
