Babies mostly cry if they are irritated about something or hungry etc to inform their mothers that “hey look we need a nappie change, you can do your facebooking, skyping, twitting, instagraming etc after that too”. As they can’t speak at the age of 1.5-2 years, crying is all they have.

Babies need to be taught and in order to teach them that they are on their own when they’re angry or suffering you should ignore them. I don’t see much benefit in it but whatever works to shut them up. Yeah.
