What happened to the "editorial" GS?

Back in the day when Sabah was running GS as the director one of your brainiacs had the very smart idea to use GS as a platform for political commentary.

Why did that fail? Or rather why was it scratched? Political discourse on the net is a very popular concept in Pakistan these days. Every DIL and her dadi have a blog on the political discourse of the country. Why don’t you guys bring it back?

There have been numerous attempts by GS to broaden its grasp out of that of a forum. Yet most have been scrapped in a few weeks or months.

Re: What happened to the "editorial" GS?

Cant comment much on that as I was not around when Sabah was the director, but topics of forums is all about connecting people and political commentaries, unless done by a real political analyst (as compare to someones Dadi) generates zero interest which results in zero connectivity.

This is my 2 cents, not the GS's official stance.
