We went from an organized and hot batting line-up to one that looked like Team Pak from three years ago. We actually put up more of a fight in 2004 than this year.
While winning the Test series is always more important, it is slightly concerning. Some reasons:
- Attrition. We lost good players to injury.
- Fatigue. This was our second series on the trot against a worthy opponent and winning the Test series against India made us relax a bit.
- India regrouped. Their bowling didn’t look like the same line-up, they came at us in groups and with aggression.
- Team chemistry. Could there be issues underneath the surface (Inzy flare up with Woolmer or resentment of Inzy by players)?
- Match fixing. Nah.
- Bad luck. We should have chased in the second match and were unlucky to lose the toss twice.
