on the left of a post, it helps to differentiate guppies from guppans and address them properly , sometimes you have to do that.
Re: What happened to male and female symbols
It has been long gone along with Reputation points feature. ![]()
I understand repo was being misused that is why it is gone , but what is the reason behind removing the gender symbol.?

Re: What happened to male and female symbols
They were deceiving. Lot of guys had female symbols and vice versa..
Re: What happened to male and female symbols
:D
No seriously what can be possible reason to remove that. Some one in my HR department was telling me that it is illegal to ask gender of a job applicant in Australia or GB I do not remember exactly. :D

I have jotted down my reason for gender in my first post that it helps others to address ,a poster to which they are posting replying , using the right gender.
Some times when you call someone bhai that turns out to be nick of a bahan and other times when you call someone auntie , it turns out that the auntie is an uncle.
That is it .
You are right , mujahay kisee say rishtay dari nahi jornee , but I want to be polite , and I guess many other guppies and guppan will second me on that, thats all.

dekhain abhi hum nay roza rekha howa hai
ps. i do know what u mean, but it better if you consider several things in mind.
- gals usually try to hide their gender behind being a male.
- guys try to act like gal (if they are interested in cafe section), or if they wana have some fun.
- its a good experience for others to come up with balance opinion…cuz guys usually are more abusive towards other males, whereas they respectfully ask if the same thing is being asked by some female.
but i strongly believe that respect should be given no matter whom ever u r addressing. (otherwise its a bias opinion…that is why in Pakistan they want us to put roll numbers on exam paper rather than our names )

Not only that, but the wrong gender was used with inappropriate and provocative language, under an assumption that the gender displayed is what the person actually is, which is, as you know, not true all the time. It was not only wrongfully assumed - especially by new members - that the gender was correctly displayed but in heated discussions, it was taken to a whole another level.
Hamara bhee roza hay , magar hum nay iss ko kahain rakha nahi iss dar say k kahain rakh k bhool na ja-ain.![]()
I admit your falsafa makes sense , because I am so hungry and cannot think straight.
Then what we should do about the posters who will assume your gender on the basis of your nick and then the result is the same as you so skillfully elaborated above.
So if gender or no gender on display people will be biased based on your nick , then why not bring the gender display back so that at least those who want to address someone as bhai or bahan or uncle or autie would do it properly.
Re: What happened to male and female symbols
people like that lifeless, were misusing such a decent feature:)
