Urdu language is enriched with arabic,persian and hindi words. In lingusitc studies it is noted that language is very much so influenced by the mingling of different cultures through time. It is a process that takes time and in result enrich a language. But the type of influence we are talking in this topic is not related to the process of the development of a language. it is a mental fixation created by over exposure to an other culture and neglecting our own.
Behnoi does not sounds good coz we are ashemed to use it infront of our friends...they might think we are paindooo a big insult.On the other hand jija is acceptable and does not sound wierd because in india they use their language quite often and arent ashemed of using it on tv.

For young Pakistani generation who are expose to indian culture and langue more than urdu ..it holds true.

I was pointing out the comon attitude of younster now a day in Pakistan. Recently a relative of mine came to my place and I had some Bano Qudsia's books on my night stand. Now this Lahore grammer, O level student could not read the title Atish- e- zer-e paa let alone know the meaning of it.
