Among the Suhabis, I recently learned it from one of my favourites Hazrat Muawiya (r.a) to not get offended by personal attacks/insults. No matter how aggressive a person used to get to misbehave with him & pass judgement about his personality, thoughts and actions, Muawiya (r.a) never stoop to lower level and if he decided to respond, he would never select hurtful/pinching wordings for them. Instead, he used polite & kind wordings. He did use to try to clear misunderstandings.
Even though I don’t claim that I fully practice it, but I try my best to follow it in daily life matters. IT does help a lot to remain positive & saves a lot of time and energy.
Ofcourse many of us have many ideals in daily life. It could be any one of them from whom you learned & implemented a good leason in life.
Re: What good habbit/way did you recently pick & implement from your ideal's lifestyl
With all due respect, should you must select someone who at best, is a controversial figure?
^^agree with that one
there are so many examples..the best being our beloved prophet...don't understand why you had to choose ...well whatever to each his own i guess
but for me our Rasuul is the best example of how to behave and one of his qualities was that he never retaliated against whomsoever was being unjust towards his own person

Brother, everyone has a right to share his views about whoever one likes. If you share your appreciation about someone I dislike, I should respect your right of sharing your likeness, even if I personally dislike that personality.

I totally agree. That is why I mentioned, among the Suhabas, as they are all like stars, you may follow any one of them. People might even like to share something about Awliyas as well.

So what are you saying RAW? The Sahabas can be followed like the Prophet pbuh?
Re: What good habbit/way did you recently pick & implement from your ideal's lifestyl
The following saying of Imam Shafi`i (Allah have mercy on him) has proved useful for me in daily life matters;
“When one wishes to speak, one must first reflect, and if there is a clear interest to be served by speaking, one speaks, while if one doubts it, one remains silent until the advantage becomes apparent.”[Nawawi, al-Adhkar]

Re: What good habbit/way did you recently pick & implement from your ideal's lifestyl
well this was something recent but i realized that all people have flaws including me and i'm trying to focus on being more positive and that even if I work with somebody that is very unprofessional, i try my hardest to not react to him, love my work so i focus on that
i wouldn't say that it's acting fake around him but it's learning to not take negative actions by others so personally and most importantly not reacting to them in an emotional way, it's definitely been difficult but it's the only way towards the road to improving myself
oh and another good thing i'm learning is that no matter how hard life gets, i try to stop with the "victim mentality", that gets a person nowhere
