What games or activities to keep in Mehndi? Dholki ? Jhula Night?

Hello,

Please advise what games or activities to keep in

  1. Mehndi
  2. Dholki
  3. Jhula Night

We usually do not do dances.. avoid mostly girls to not do…

So what activities can be kept.. please advise

Jhula Night is like a rides for kids.. which is usually combine with mehndi i believe..You know ay activities dones in mehndi..

I didn't grow up in Pakistan nor around Pakistanis so don't know what the difference is between mehndi and dholki.

Will the Mehndi/ Dholki be only women or will this be a mixed group?

Normally girls we dont allow to dance.. so what activities to keep?

Looks a good option..
What other activities we can blend, that the adult could play too..

I was thinking to keep Tambola type stuff or something..but just thinking would we have time for this.

Usually paki guests come like 10-11:00.. all late latif mostly..

You could do antakshiri, musical chairs, pass the pillow, charades, play with haldi (can get very messy)

I understand about not allowing the girls to dance in front of men.

What about little kids performing? I have seen, little kids ( 10 and younger) sing, dance, and play musical instruments. A synchronized number with little ones is absolutely adorable.

I’ve also seen people do funny skits, how the girl and guy met and their reactions to each other or how the guy broke the news to his parents. You could have the little kids act it out.

You could also have the kids dance to old favorite bollywood songs like madhuri dixit stuff from the 80’s & 90’s. Hum Saath Saath Hain has a cute song dance to welcome the new DIL, which the kids could act out.

At one mehdi, the aunties and uncles danced together as a couple. The uncle was serenaded the aunty and they moved around to the music. It was adorable and quite festive!

Along with the other ideas.

Your side may not dance but make sure to invite the other side to participate in the entertainment. If your side doesn’t want to allow their girls from dancing, make sure to be clear instead of an embarrassing situation due to miscommunication.
