A good primer, Kryolan foundation sticks and I think plenty of photoshop.

no leave aside that photoshop thing because i have seen real brides that had their makeover from good MUAs and even me on my wedding had such a smooth and silky face look..i wonder y we can't have that soft and smooth look by our ownself no matter what foundation we use either its mac or makeup forever...blv me i tried manyyyy expensive foundations...

Use a good silicone based primer, this works well with oil-based foundations. Air-brush foundation will also give you a flawless foundation.. I suggest you try out the Beauty Blender (sponge) as well. Set all of your foundation with translucent powder.

Lots of factors here:

Primers make a HUGE difference in how a foundation looks. A regular drugstore brand base can look great if you use a good primer.

There is a lot of skin smoothing and photo shop you see in that picture.

The foundation looks like it might be airbrush...airbrush is nice, smooth and very light on the face. If you use a cream or liquid, your application method makes a huge difference. A wedge, a brush, fingers, sponge, beauty blender, etc.

You can achieve a flawless look with liquid or stick/cream foundations. Give your foundation a nice smooth primer base underneath to settle on, It ll appear flawless and last long. Invest in a good foundation brush.

Good primer is definitely important. But more important is good healthy smooth skin underneath the foundation.

This model has got a pretty good skin but being a photographer I tell you, even if you dont put any foundation on your face I can give you a same outcome using photoshop :)
