Hey guys,
My wedding is in a little over a week and I’m thinking I want flower in my hair, but not sure which one? I want white. For my bridesmaids, I’m thinking of getting white gerber daisies (small ones around 2-2.5inches). I’m thinking of just getting one for them and not 2…any idea if that’s too small or if 2 would look better?
Also…I’m not sure if I should get gerber daisies as well…what are some nice white flowers for a bride’s hair? And even for me…whichever one I get..how many would look nice? I’m so clueless about flowers, but I don’t want anything too big.
Also, should I get it fresh or fabric ones? The reception is on Sunday and I’ll be getting the flowers by Saturda so not sure if they’ll wilt.
I was going to say a peony - but peonies are generally big flowers! But they are quite gorgeous! Why don't you get a rose? It's classic and elegant :)
Also, I would suggest a fresh flower. It won't wilt if you keep it moist in the fridge. There are tonnes of tips online about how to keep flowers fresh :)
depends on what you and your bridesmaids are wearing and what sort of hairstyle you want. maybe you could describe those aspects a bit? peonies and roses have a classic appeal and look really good at white weddings. if it's more of a desi affair, brighter colored flowers might be your key :)
I’ll be wearing an ivory lehenga with eggplant purple borders. Hairstyle is well..loose curls to one side. So yeah…I was thinking rose but the florist said they do like a bunch together…and I feel that was too big. The only reason I don’t want too big is because there’ll be dupatta as well so it’ll be too busy. Does anyone know what flower this bride has?

I wore 2 roses on my hair during my reception. We bought them Friday....kept them in the refrigerator overnight. When the hairstylist put them on my hair, she also sprayed TONS of hairspray on them. They lasted all night without any issues (halfway through the reception, 1 of my friend hairsprayed it again just to make sure...lol).
Whatever flower you choose, please do NOT get fabric ones! They're on your hair and all your guests will get a upclose view of them. Fabric flowers will look tacky. Stick to fresh ones. :)
As far as how many flowers will look nice....that's something you should discuss with your hair person b/c it will depend on your face, the specific hairstyle etc. In my case we bought a dozen roses. I told my hairstylist to take however many she wanted. She took 2. We saved 1 for my husband's suit. And the rest, we put on my case as decor. And yes, all that was planned...lol.
For what its worth....it sounds like you're going for a traditional look (you mentioned dupatta on your head). If so then I think you should stick with roses since it's classic. You can't go wrong with them. :)
