is in these days? I personally like raw silk a lot for trousers but can decide if i should get the shirts in the same fabric or not…
Any suggestions?
I have been told that Crinkle Chiffon is very IN in pakistan these days… and a lot of heavy work being done on it… do you guys think it would look good?
I am trying to get some semi heavy formals made…
please suggest what other fabrics are good?
I like trouser and shirt a lot and cant stand long shirts with shalwars… is it ok to still wear trouser and shirt when i go to pakistan? or would that be a thing thats considered rediculuos?
Yes chiffon is in, though winter is approaching here in the west and you may not feel its teh fabric to wear during that time. Though it does look good yes! For fabric raw slik is good as well. Other fabric is Thai silk and katan silk. I got jamavaar made too but people are telling me its in for bridals only in Pakistan. Maybe because of the heat there?

weddings we are suppose to be attending are late october/early november in pakistan... would chiffon be good for that weather?
About Jamawar, what does it feel like? does it have a flow in it? Is it a hard fabric when you hold in your hand? I dont think i have seen it... how different is it from raw silk?
I dont like katan silk, i feel like it keeps sliping through the sticthing... like it shreds from the stitching line....?
I usally make 60 gram raw silk trousers... can i use teh same for shirt or would a lighter one will be suitable?
60gram rawsilk for shirts is wonderful.. I have some made in 60 and some in 70.. I love that fabric. You can usually find it in White/off white only and then get it dye..
I have couple of Broaschia duppattas with "china patti" outfits.. love that for winter. I can't remember the name of the fabric on top of my head but it's a crinkle chiffon with gold, rust, copper small flowers on it... i guess they call it bindi wala kapra in Punjab but it has a slightly different name in Karachi.. dun remember it but I really like that fabric for kam waghera.
I won;t use raw silk for lining.. raw silk is a beautiful fabric, I dont wanna wear a Rs. 600 lining with Rs. 500 shirt.. but then thats probably just me. :D
jamavar has a lot of variety.. you have to go and find the best one that suits your taste.
I also like bareez'e for summer.. I have a thing for chicken with embroidery. :D
If you are talking about trousers and short shirts, people wear them all the time in Pakistan.. if you are talking about jeans and shirts then probably you need to your know the audience before you step out in that.. karachi, lahore, islamabad, perfectly normal.. rest, not so common and you may get that not so shareef look.
