skin polishing?..
oh even i wanna kno what that is. good thing u asked.
Re: what exactly is..
yes bleaching
so u mean to say they use jolen n stuff?
yeah..watd u girlzz mean bleaching..of the hair on the face or of the skin?..
It's a milder form of bleach, mixed with other cream bases and promises a "glow" but majority of them in Pak contain steroids..so u see a 'glow" for a short period but the after-effects are pretty unpleasant.
I got it done before my wedding, i think the name "skin polishing" may be misleading to some people (its nothing too drastic, its not changing your natural skin colour or anything), its basically just a milder form of bleaching, the main ingredient i think is just regular bleach (for facial hair etc) in milder proportion ..and some people who may have had horrible skin reactions in the past to regular facial hair bleach, may not experience the same bad reactions to the the mild nature of the skin polishing cream.
Now aside from the bleach, it may have some other things in it to produce the glow... although i found the glow effect to be quite temporary only lasting a few days...
i have a pretty good/clear skin that is not dull at all...and I do get an automatic glow almost every day, after washing face and just putting on regular moisturizer (nivea) , so i definitely didn't need the skin polishing, but i mentioned little bit of concern about my facial hair to this lady i went to before wedding(nothing major, i dont have too much facial hair, and thats why i have never threaded it but i thought on this one occasion (wedding) i should do somethin even if its not too bad , cause i thought who knows up close in bright lights may be it is visible)
since the problem of facial hair wasnt too big of a problem, and i didn't wanna thread it, i asked if bleaching would be good to the lady to whom i went to for my bridal makeup trial and she suggested skin polishing instead of bleaching the face. She said since it is a milder form of bleach your facial fuzz/hair won't look as golden and unatural as it does sometimes for some ppl with bleach (jolen etc) but will look more like natural lighter fuzz... she was right about that, but the other thing i noticed after i came home, was the more than usual glow... unfortunately , the lady had done this on the same day of my trial and my wedding was still a week and half or so away,
the glow was short lived, and wasnt the same on my menhdi (i wore no makeup on mehndi)...
for wedding day the foundation , other makeup, shimmer etc would have covered the glow underneath anyways (even if it had persisted)... besides, its very easy to get a glow from moisturizers, and other makeup products for me.
so i was ok with it, but the facial fuzz/hair (umm cheeks, sideburn area for example) did look more natural, than the pure golden thing you get from regular bleach such as jolen..
^ thanks 4 the detailed respose..hehe i got it done in pak 2!..but i just didnt know what it was..i dont know y i did not ask..lol..:)
Re: what exactly is..
amnaar, where did you get it done? do you know what the product they use is?
the bleaching hair part sounds better than regular hair bleach, dunno if i would be able to use that on a regular basis tho if it uses dodgy stuff to make you 'glow'.
funny though, here a 'skin polish' would be an all over exfoliation and stuff.
