Mine started on one staturday with the Mayoon...and ended the follwoing saturday (8 days) with a week off and a walima on the 3rd saturday...phew.. LOVED EVERY MOMEMNT OF IT!

my husband arrived on thursday and it was a 2-3 day affair for him..:) so you're aguy you get out of extended parties...

well technically islamically you only require the nikah and you are married…walimah is sunnah i think not farz? someone plz correct me if i’m wrong…thanks…
paki culture wise though weddings can range from 3 to 5 to 8 days to weeks to even two months…it all depends on what kind of wedding and how many functions u guys want to have etc and what the norm is in ur family…
