I havent yet read all the above comments, forgive me if im repeating but heres my two pence worth in responce to people saying pak culture is not really ours but a caste off from Hindu India.

This is how I see it, you parents have been doing these rituals, living this way of life, and restricting their lives according to the social mores as their parents instilled in them.

this culture/way of life was handed down to your grandparents from their parents who got it from their parents who got it from theirs...............and on and on

this culture was handed down and occasionally changed/evolved to suit necessity, ie when they were converted from whatever religion to Islam they changed going to the Mandir etc to going to the mosque, changed not eating meat to eating meat, adding on things from other cultures like when the Moghuls came along and intigrated they added things like... actually I dont know but they mustve added something from their way of life.

Recently ways of life and culture have changed with the introduction of TV which has bought an alian culture into peoples home and lives, for example some people in india celebrate Valentines day.....

What Im trying to say is that this amalgamation IS pakistani culture, it IS your heritage........... you may not like some of it, you may not like all of it, it may offend your sensibilities, it may offend because it contrasts or contravenes what you hold dear for example Islam and Islamic traditions.

But that is not the fault of the culture of Pakistan, Culture is a way of living that has been handing down slightly changed ever since mankind setfoot on this planet and this Pak culture thingybob is the version thats evolved and been specially engineered for you.

Its not just a set of rules made up by people with obsessive compusive disorders although, thinking about it some of these traditions we are have may well have initially been generated from ocd's

For me there is no difference between a Pakistani & a Indian, they are all the same people but different religions, and now with different countries. The Pakistanis are no different than those Muslims in India, some moved over and some stayed. The reason why they created Pakistan was so that Muslims do not become Majority in India, and so that they do not have good representation in the Indian government. I believe India & East Pakistan should merge together and form one state, because there is no need for one people having two seperate countries.

I agree with you bro, ‘Indic’ people from eastern Pakistan are just like north Indians, same languages, same culture, same race whilst the ‘Iranian’ ethnic groups from western Pakistan like the Afghans (Pashtuns) and Balouchis are the same as people from Afghanistan and Iran, Fasriwans, Tajiks, Azerbaijanis, Kurds, Uzbeks etc.

Pakistan should be shared out between Afghanistan and India, and then we Indian Muslims breed and do Da’wah like mad so that we become the majority in India.

Like you mentioned Pakistan’s creation was a conspiracy against Muslims, the Ullema and Allama Iqbal were against Pakistan’s creation, they wanted the Muslim majority states to be ruled by the Shariah but within India but the Brits and other Kuffaar were in this together to divide Muslims, there is no justification for creating a secular state for Muslims. The secular die hard Paki nationalists are so blind it makes me want to puke justifying Pak when there is no reason for it’s existence.

Our forefathers were happy in one country, they practiced their religion fine and were less influenced by other peoples ways compared to Pakis nowadays, there was no persecution, Hindus wouldn’t dare touch Muslims they respected us, the Sikhs thought they were bad boys and ruled our region for a bit but our ancestors fought against them, they accepted Muslim rule and asked if they could stay but they were kicked out of Chach back into Punjab.
