Re: What Exactly happens After Death?
Why don’t you do the experience and Let us Know.![]()
I have read that many people who were in a state close to death saw a tunel of light going up to sky and they could see their body laying and people arround them and could also hear them what they were saying but could not comunicate with them.
That reminded me of Hadees which exactly says the same thing
Re: What Exactly happens After Death?
Ohhh boy.... you expect someone to answer that?I don't think anything you may find on the internet can do justice to your question. I'd suggest that you acquire some literature on the subject. :)
According to my understanding:
- We die
- We're buried
- We spend our time there in peace or under torment depending on our deeds
- We will be raised on the day of judgement
- We will be classified into the people of hell or heaven according to our deeds
- Unless Allah wills, we will reside therein forever
(Allah knows best)
Re: What Exactly happens After Death?
The hunk, thanx.. thats what knowledge I have, but you hear so much.. its hard to understand what really happens.. and Bookworm, I know no one has come back to tell the tale! but makes you wonder…???
I once saw a book - Marnay ke baad kiya hota hai.. but you wonder about it..
I just wondered ![]()
Re: What Exactly happens After Death?
Ok … then be specific. What do u wonder?
That’d be a more realistic approach towards getting answers.
Re: What Exactly happens After Death?
1) like after ur janazah.. when the congregation have moved 40 steps away from your qabar, you sit up and your rooh comes back to you??
Re: What Exactly happens After Death?
for those secularists who have been having a lot of fun in this life the real fun begins in the qabar :) fun-e-azab-e-qabar
Re: What Exactly happens After Death?
Q136 :Could you please explain what happens to believers and non-believers when they die?
A136 : Death is a stage which occurs when the spirit departs from the body to make it lifeless. As Muslims, we believe in the resurrection when the body and the spirit will be reunited in the hereafter. This life is a stage for action, but the life to come after the resurrection is a stage of reward. Human beings will either be in pure happiness or in total misery. It is part of the basic Islamic beliefs that after resurrection, we will account for our deeds and we will be judged accordingly. Those on whom Allah bestows His mercy will be in heaven, while those who are denied it will abide in hell, the place of absolute misery. It is also clearly stated by the Prophet that the deeds of even the best person will not be enough to send him to heaven without Allah’s grace. Allah’s grace is guaranteed by none other than Allah Himself to those who believe in Him and do well in their lives. **However, the time between a person’s death and resurrection is an intermediate stage of life of “barzakh”, which means intermediate stage. Relying on authentic Hadiths, scholars mention that angels are sent to people in their graves to question them about their beliefs. In a Hadith related by Imam Ahmad, the Prophet tells us that when a believer is buried, his prayers sit over his head, fasting to his right, zakah to his left and other good deeds are positioned below his feet. Each prevent any harm from coming to him from that direction. He is then sat up and asked about his view of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). A believer will say: “Muhammad (peace be upon him), I believe that he was Allah’s messenger who came with the message of the truth from Allah.” He is then reassured of his fate by the questioning angels and his place is pointed out to him. A wide expanse is opened to him in his grave and he is given light. His body is then returned to its state. The Hadith mentions the opposite of all this in the case of a non-believer. At the end, we are told that his grave is made too narrow for him that his ribs almost crack. That is the hard life mentioned in the Qur’an All this applies to people who are buried, cremated, drowned or eaten up by wild beasts. It is easy for Allah to resurrect these in the same way as He resurrects those who are buried. **

Re: What Exactly happens After Death?
Here is something intresting
The mystery of life and death, sleep and dreams, is a fascinating enigma, of which the solution is perhaps beyond the ken of man. A vast mass of superstition as well as imaginative and psychological literature has grown up about it. But the simplest and truest religious doctrine is laid down here in a few words. In death we surrender our physical life, but our soul does not die; it goes back to a plane of existence in which it is more conscious of the realities of the spiritual world: "Allah takes the soul".
What is sleep? As far as animal life is concerned, it is the cessation of the working of the nervous system, though other animal functions, such as digestion, growth, and the circulation of the blood, continue, possibly at a different pace. It is the repose of the nervous system, and in this respect it is common to man and animals, and perhaps even to plants, if, as is probable, plants have a nervous system. The mental processes (and certainly volition) are also suspended in sleep, except that in ordinary dreams there is a medley of recollections, which often present vividly to our consciousness things that do not or cannot happen in nature as we know it in our coordinated minds. But there is another kind of dream which is rarer-one in which the dreamer sees things as they actually happen, backwards or forwards in time, or in which gifted individuals see spiritual truths otherwise imperceptible to them. How can we explain this? It is suggested that our soul or personality,-that something which is above our animal life-is then in a plane of spiritual existence akin to physical death (see last note), when we are nearer to Allah. In poetic imagery, Sleep is "twin-brother to Death".
Sleep being twin-brother to Death, our souls are for the time being released from the bondage of the flesh. Allah takes them for the time being. If, as some do, we are to die peacefully in sleep, our soul does not come back to the physical body, and the latter decays and die. If we have still some period of life to fulfil according to Allah's decree, our soul comes back to the body, and we resume our functions in this life.
If we contemplate these things, we can see more clearly many spiritual truths: e.g.
(1) that our bodily life and death are not the whole story of our existence;
(2) that in our bodily life we may be dead to the spiritual world, and in our bodily death, may be our awakening to the spiritual world;
(3) that our nightly Sleep, besides performing the function of rest to our physical life, gives us a foretaste of what we call death, which does not end our personality; and
(4) that the Resurrection is not more wonderful than our daily rising from Sleep, "twin-brother to Death".
Re: What Exactly happens After Death?
I read that the day of judgement will last like reallllllyyy realllllllyyyy longggggggggggggggggg
. Like thousands and thousands of years
. But we’ll be so scared and panicking that it’ll seem so short..![]()
