the thing abt rose water... that i felt is, that it makes me feel fresh for sum reason!!! when i m tired i cum home and apply thanda thanda rose water (in bottle) and feels so gr8. i dunno if it did anything to my skin... i have to use it everyday i guess to see results... how long did u all use rwater enough to notice a difference in ur skin?

Gina, what does the rose water do for your eyes? Also, are we talking about putting chilled rosewater inside our eyes or just outside to soothe them?

inside of the eyes is v safe..(i try to keep my eyes open when i spray into them but somehow they close.. hehe) i have a misting bottle filled with rwater in my fridge.. as soon as i cum home i spray it on my face n neck and ofcourse in my eyes... its refreshing!!!!! do try it :)

yar RV I didnt bother to notice if it had made any difference in my eyes, sorry. but all i know it brings me to life ;) hehehe.. overall rose water smells nice and when put on face i feel good. other posters have said their skin became clearer and plus, its a gud toner.. so u cud also use it when ure out of toner. i think everyone shud use it atleast 1-2 tiems in a day... read the posts above u will find many gud reviews.
I use a little misting bottle to spray rose water on my face before I apply my moisturizer (I let the RW dry naturally and then moisturize), and I get tons of complements on my skin. It helps to tone your skin, close pores, and its very soothing and balancing and good especially for sensitive skin. Regular use is also supposed to help as part of overall anti-aging for skin. Since I started using it I noticed brighter skin, more even skin tone, and I hardly get any blemishes, and those I do get are really small and are not inflamed.
I highly recommend it!

Hi there. Rosewater is really fantastic for the skin and there's a rose product rage going on in the market these days. We desis have known the benefits for years though :) basically the rose is a relative of the strawberry family and is packed with Vitamin C (which we all know is excellent for toning and clarifying the skin regardless of skin type). The key however is to find the genuine thing as most desi rosewater brands use distilled water with a little bit of rosewater added to it or sometmes none at all! Expect to pay about 15 quid at least. Someone mentioned they got a mild rash with rosewater.....most probably it was a bad product. People with dry skin can experience mild irritation due to the high vitamin c content, but applying moisturizer right after should take care of that.
Thank you for the info batgirl :) I guess you are right about the high content of vitamin c and irritation plus I used the product directly. Now I dilute it before using it and so far no ill effects.

hi UK ladies. i decided that i shouldn’t get hooked on more expensive products so went for the cheaper bulgarian rose rosewater.
i bought it from this place:

From the same site I also bought an add on atomiser cap, £0.44
and a 5ml glass pipette dropper bottle so that i can put some in there for my eyes, £0.85
i got everything today and let you know how i will get on. first impressions; i hate strong fragrances but this is really light and pleasant, it’s also very cool even though it’s not been in the fridge, i put a drop in each eye and there is a very mild sting but it goes away after 5-10secs.
i will let you know if i see any improvements in my skin and how it compares to my tea tree water toner, which is my usual step to prep my skin for moisturiser and then foundation.

hey everyone. ok, i've been using the rosewater i got for just over a week.
i can't say it's made a huge different in the appearance of my skin (tone-wise) but it's definitely more balanced. i use it twice a day
i have weird skin that can be really dry in places but then my whole face also gets really oily during the day, whether i apply moisturiser or not. it's much less dry now and therefore i use less moisturiser and need to spend less time fighting the dry areas, which is great. i also think i'm producing less oil during the day.
and in comparasion to tea tree water as a toner, it's the same, moisturiser and makeup glides on just as well.

I was wondering if you could tell me how to tell if the rose water is real or not. My mom brought me back a few bottles of rose water from Pakistan. The brand is Saeed Ghani. It says "Extract of Real Red Roses. 100% Pure and Natural" on the bottle, however, I know in Pakistan they often manufacture fake things and just write "pure" to sell the product. Anyone know if this is the real deal or not? Thanks!

saeed ghani is known for his awesome ubtans and stuff.. so his brand is pretty reliable.

^That's a good question. If REAL rose water is more expensive........then how do we know if the bottle we get from the local desi market......which only costs $2 is the real thing......and not just water sprayed with rose perfume?
Although I've heard its not hard to make rose water and some make it a home too. But how do you know if it's real? I like to check the bottle for a website address. That makes me feel a bit better about the quality. I bought this SADAF rose water recently and although it smells alright, I'm wary of the quality?

^Hey RV - that's why I bought mine from a U.K. brand - it's just as cheap but at least I know they shouldn't be able to make false claims. I've found that the price depends on the roses used; Persian Rose water is a lot more expensive than commonly used Bulgarian Rose water.

Why don't you just make your own rose water. Its not that difficult, you just need some rose petals and water!
Or, if you're me, you need a Pakistani brother in law who makes it for you. Simples.
