What exactly does Rose Water do for your skin?

I’m not sure if standard grocery shop rose water is even good, its mostly all synthetic with just flavouring, not at all rose water, maybe that’s why the other girl had a tomato face. the trick is to find proper rose water

can anyone recommend somewhere I can get rose water in the UK? Boots have thisbut I don’t know if its pure rose water or with added stuff. Is the stuff in desi shops any good? How do I know if its good quality stuff?
