So lately I’ve been dreaming about moving out and getting a new home.
Our budget isn’t really that big so the only option we’ll have is to get a fixer upper and renovating it.
The things I can’t compromise on are 1. Curb appeal (Got to look nice from the outside). 2. Space (Has to be spacious) 3. Has to have a garage (preferably a 2 car) and a basement (preferably unfinished since older homes have really ugly finished basements.)
What would your dream home look like? Inside and out. What kind of kitchen would be your dream kitchen? What about bathrooms?
I love Mediterranean style homes. There are so many of those in coral gables, fl and Sugarland,tx but hardly any in the northeast. Since I'm stuck in the northeast, I probably would never get a Mediterranean style and that makes me sad!
You should invite property brothers to your new house. They are magicians.
I hate the newer homes here. They all look the same. I love property brothers I wish they’d find me a house and redo it completely. They really know what they’re doing.
dream home. single storey. sloping tiled roof. well ventilated. not too big. a huge front and backyard. trees. designer bathroom fixtures from TLK and bill gates' research division.
I think i def want curb appeal, light colored stones and a bright colored door!! Open floor plan and a huge kitchen with dark floors and a gorgeous island with a industrial kitchen stainless steel sink!! I want loads of windows!! Windows are a must and a loft feel inside!! And the one thing I want is stand in showers with those water faucet systems that has water coming from everywhere!!! Who needs to go to a spa.. Indoor water therapy session!!
Yes lots of big windows! And I agree with the showers. I also want a clawfoot tub So I can make use of all my fancy bathsalts
My dream kitchen is big! Has white cabinets and a huge island that’s either a light bluish color or dark dark wood. Beautiful marble or limestone countertops.
Aqua, grey or white colored backsplash and top of the line appliances including 2 ovens.

I want lots and lots of windows and high ceilings!
We just bouight a house, not the dream home I wills ay but definitely more like dream coming true in our very tight budget! We got more than what we paid for! I always wanted a huge kitchen, the kitchen here is small but we have two kitchens in the house so I am making one pantry.. shall be fun and kind of takes care of my need for wanting to have a big kitchen! white cabinets are MUST! Pop of colors is necessary through accessories or even one big bold paint color in the house!
Hmmm I would say nothing too luxurious or fancy.
A house big enough for our needs with lots and lots of storage space (closets preferably walk-ins,garage,basement preferably finished), a good size kitchen with a few windows and lots of cabinets and an island and a pantry, plenty of sunlight for every room (the reason I do not like huge trees in front yards...pretty common where I live),a separate bathroom just for myself (I would love to see colors like lilac in there..!),master bedroom more than a bedroom and more like a suite,a small study area or nook with a desk and lots of books,a nice patio and backyard, and a cul de sac location with immaculate yards and perfect exterior in neutral colors with whites.....and and and this is pretty luxurious...ahhhhh....
I’ve been looking at this house for a while now. It’s for sale and was built in 1979. Best part of all- It’s affordable But needs a lot of love.
This is what I would do to each room if we ever got this home … I really want to
The formal living room - Change the floors. I hate this color. I want dark dark hardwood floors! Paint the walls and add crown molding. Frame out the window.
Add custom built-ins to the back wall. Get beautiful studded couches and place them so that they face each other. A rustic coffee table in the middle and maybe a chair? And ofc a beautiful rug and window treatments as well as some art on the walls. Oh and a chandelier!!! I can see it …
The master bath is in need for some serious love. Bechara! Stuck in the 70’s. It needs to be gutted. Everything is just wrong. Vanity, lighting, the mirror, floors … ugh. Horrible.
I’m picturing something light and airy. Maybe add 2 beautiful antiquish mirrors for some bling. Has to have 2 sinks, I’m not good at sharing with my messy husband. On the opposite side it has a gray tub. That needs to go. I want a HUGE glassed in stand-in shower. With gorgeous tile work and a rain head shower. Toilet will need to be replaced as well with something new and nice. And need to add window treatments, maybe a roman shade?
And I’ve always wanted a chandelier in my bathroom. Hubby thinks it’s crazy and unnecessary. But I feel like it gives a spa like feel.
Daughter’s room. Similar to what she has now, just turned up a notch. I would love to give her a beautiful and functional space in which she can grow. Lavender colored walls!! And a chandelier. Can’t skip the chandelier.
This is the sitting room in the master bedroom. I would change up the fireplace. I hate it … maybe give it a white wash? Or change the stones completely.
Add some shelves for books and candles. Add a futon, a nice one not the ikea one. And some lighting and window treatments. I want it to be a place where I can just relax and read a book.
And a paint job!!
The kitchen. This is the best part. I can’t believe this house has such a huge kitchen! The possibilities are endless. I want a beautiful white kitchen. Dark wood island. Beautiful countertops. Beautiful dark wood floors. Top of the line appliances. Recessed lighting. Beautiful, yet modern, pendants over the island.
A very wealthy single woman moved in our town, she had the whole house renovated and wait, there is NO kitchen! She has a HUGE living and dining area but no kitchen.... I wish I could share pics but of course cant!! so yep it's a possibility!
and there is one more who has an indoor swimming pool that even made to the dwell magazine!!! I had inspected the pool and boy she had a beautiful house!!!
One of my neighbor has a his and her master BEDroom. I have seen his and her closet and bathrooms but the bedroom cracked me up.
Hers is all foo foo girly with little knick knacks and her husband has a manly clean modern type of bedroom. He says he can't sleep in that much crazy clutter and puts him in a bad mood if he sees the first thing in the morning.
I want a small cottage by the ocean, where I can walk out onto the beach.
I'd love it to be a split level with a HUGE kitchen that leads into the living/dining room so that I can cook and still talk to my guests. The kitchen would be light and muted, but there would be cool colours that had warmth and welcome to them.
The bedroom would be spacious, but even bigger would be the walk-in closets with tons of space for me to store my shoes. In the kitchen would be French doors, that lead out onto a wonderful patio where I can sit and relax. The front would have a wide porch (maybe wraparound), I'd have chairs and a swing so I could sit and watch the waves.
as long as it has a good size Garage, Basement and Backyard, I am good!
beside all that, I wanted (and Alhamdullah have) a fireplace in my family room where me and she can sit and talk romanchik stuff and eat peanuts in cold Dec
She want a bigger and eat-in type of kitchen + bigger study room/home office - lets see
