Based on personal experience... don't push him yet. It's not been nearly long enough. Id he knows that he is going to face major opposition, then he needs to play the game delicately and only when his parents are in the right mood. I'm sure he'll do it once he has to. Just pray for the strength to last through the tension and stress.

He should have told his parents BEFORE you told yours....why did you rush into telling your parents? My husband told his parents before I told mine.
If he is serious about you he shouldnt have a problem telling his parents especially his mom as its easier to talk to your mom about anything than your dad. Also whether his family is open minded or not plays a major role in how easy it is to break the news to them.
I think he's just making excuses....and i tihnk if he truly loved you he definately should have told his parents first....before letting you tell yours....
