Thats cause Islaam is Paternalistic, if the father is Muslim, the children will be also according to Islaamic rules. I dont think most desi parents have a big issue with a gori wife, thats been my experience anyway.

depends on the guy, if hes been a general disappointment his gori wife will be a continuation of that. if the guy managed to please his parents prior to getting married, then she'll more likely get an easy ride.
tip: when meeting the elder in laws for the first time, observe wear a scarf(chilla) and tilt your head downwards and in readiness to have your head stroked by them. this will give anyone a good start

Most parents I know of would not approve if the girl is not Muslim. If she is Muslim, then I only know of very few who would oppose.

At first a lot get very depressed, and oppose it. but eventually they just come to terms with it, whether they like it or not. Most Pakistani parents want their kids to marry Pakistani Muslims.

There is a culture difference of course, but as muslims, the goal is to raise the children as muslims and that can be done easier if both parents are muslim. I guess Pakistani parents are more open minded now - once they have assurance.
