What does Pakistan mean

Roti, kapra aur dawa
Ghar rehne ko chhota sa
Muft mujhe talim dila
Mein bhi Musalmaan hoon wallah
Pakistan ka matlab kya
La Ilaha Illalah…

Amrika se mang na bhik
Mat kar logon ki tazhik
Rok na janhoori tehrik
Chhor na azadi ki rah
Pakistan ka matlab hai kya
La Ilaha Illalah…

Khet waderon se le lo
Milen luteron se le lo
Mulk andheron se le lo
Rahe na koi Alijah
Pakistan ka matlab kya
*La Ilaha Illalah… *

Sarhad, Sindh, Baluchistan
Teenon hain Panjab ki jaan
Aur Bangal hai sab ki aan
Aai na un ke lab par aah
Pakistan ka matlab kya
La Ilaha Illalah…

Baat yehi hai bunyadi
Ghasib ki ho barbadi
Haq kehte hain haq agah
Pakistan ka matlab kya
La Ilaha Illalah…

*(Habib Jalib ) *

Bread, clothes and medicine
A little house to live in
Free education, as may right be seen
A Muslim, I, too, have always been
What does Pakistan mean
There is no God, but God, The Rab-al-alameen

For American alms do not bray
Do not, the people, laugh away
With the democratic struggle do not play
Hold on to freedom, do not cave in
What does Pakistan mean
There is no God…

Confiscate the fields from the landowners
Take away the mills from the robbers
Redeem the country from its dark hours
Off with the lordly vermin
What does Pakistan mean
There is no God…

Sind, Baluchistan and Frontier
These three are to Panjab most dear
And Bengal lends them splendour
Anguished should not be their mien
What does Pakistan mean
There is no God…

This, then, is the basic thing
For the people, let freedom’s bell ring
From the rope, let the plunderer swing
Truly they speak, who the truth have seen
What does Pakistan mean
There is no God, but Allah

what does PakisTan means to you folks ?

Btw just phoned me maah back home ! And i have been informed that due to lawlessness and holy mess in Karachi thesedays . Price for general commodities are gone up .

She just managed to get some patrol for her yoke and it was 100 rupees per litre .100 rupees calling card , you would be lucky to get it around 120 to 130 and for milk people are paying around 40 rupees per litre.

DaikTa kia hai meray Mouh ki Taraf
Qaid-e-Azaam ka Pakistan tu daik !

Re: What does Pakistan mean

You know Petrol prices are atrocious everywhere luv, £1.09p per litre is what Esso expects one to pay these days.

Re: What does Pakistan mean

a doomed nation.

Re: What does Pakistan mean

Pakistan is Home for me. No nation is perfect. we need to make perfect. The problem lies not with Pakistan but with pakistanis.

Re: What does Pakistan mean

Pakistan is my home.

  • I am not called a "Paki" there.
  • I can hear Azaan and have vacations on Eid.
  • In Ramadan, I have half days.
  • On gatherings, I don't have to feel an outsider and explain people why I don't eat this sort of meat or why I don't drink alcohol.
  • On media I dont have to see insults against my religion every day.
  • I am not singled out every time for frisking there at the airport (while all my white friends are not even asked a thing).
  • If I may have a daughter, she will not have to go through all the discrimination for merely being a muslim.
  • I know when I die, I will be buried in peace, without the fear of my grave being dug out by some neo nazi.

My home is not perfect, in fact far from it. BUT

This is my home!

Re: What does Pakistan mean

Ironic

Re: What does Pakistan mean

Those people live abroad, need to change the mindset of the foreigners by showing our positive sides and our skills.

Re: What does Pakistan mean

Pakistan is a blessing to me and many other people :)
