I’m looking at name change announcements in the newspaper, and there is this word المشتہر which is not in my Urdu dictionary. It sems to be just before the name and address details are listed. The print is so tiny I am not even sure if I have spelled it right…

المشتہر (almushtahar)

means the one who wrote/published the ad (not the newspaper but the person or the company)

ad is called ishtaahar in urdu and the one who publishes it is called almushtahar

for example if i give an ad saying “bilkul naya colour tv sirf 5,000Rs main” so at the bottom i will write المشتہر Blessed2006 meaning i am the one who gave this ad.
