**no no…nahiiN baba…uneducated jo haiN Khowaah muslim hoN yaa Ghair muslim sabhii heavier sounds use nahiiN karte…jaise Z, Sheen, qaaf etc. when i speak my regional language [poorbii (amitabh waali)] then i also do pronounce Z as J, seen for sheen abd kaaf for qaaf. its the way the local dialect is spoken. if i try to use qaaf, sheen and Z etc they will label me as “shahrii baaboo”.

irrespective of education level, Hindus mostly pronounce incorrectly…this is the effect of Hindi…even, sadly, muslims kids speak that way who come from urdu speaking families.

most singers go thru training to pronounce word correctly. Asha Bhosle initially had a bad pronounciation which she later corrected. there is one song where she pronounces “maKhmali” as “makhmali” [not with Khe but with kha]. so unless a Hindu is trained in prounciation, most mis pronounce. **

ohhhhhh acha. yes thats true professional singers do pronounce words correctly (and that reminds of my name is khan where in the movie srk used to say its khan not kahn :D)

also as a kid when i used to watch partition movies/dramas i used to think anyone who can pronounce khe is a muslim and whoever says kha is a hindu…hahahahahahhaha quite stupid thinking i used to have lol

ps. really? i thought amitabh speaks fine urdu as in i have never seen him saying j to z or z to j. hang on what is poorbi language? any audio or video sample?
