Re: what does “Khakash ba-dahan” and “Khaakam ba-dahan” mean?
i checked in one of the best urdu dictionaries, Firoz ul LoGhaat by molvi Abdul Haq, the father of urdu [baba-e-urdu], the meaning of dahan [short for dahaan] is MOUTH and NOT face is given…at least in URDU…i never heard dahan = face anywhere in urdu literature…shairi or urdu prose.
